Wrestling Reflections

Well, after my experience on the team, I would definatly join again next year. The coach is good, as long as you don't do anything stupid its easy to get along with the others. and the coach is very funny. I am certainly going again next season. I said this before but I am going to say it again. If you are military bound, join the wrestling team!

2012.... WHY WON'T PEOPLE GO TO CREDITABLE SOURCES!

Well, I have just one thing to say about it, ITS A LOAD OF CRAP!

To anyone who is reading this blog and belives in the 2012 doomsday prophecy, STOP AND THINK! I am going to post a link in the links area to a NASA article stating that they have scientific evidence that nothing catastrophic will happen on December 21, 2012.

If you became a believer from some documentary or website other than a government or organization, your information is probably misleading and/or completely irrational and illogical.

Wrestling

If you are ever interested in ROTC, I highly suggest you sign up for the wrestling team asap, or football. Today is my 3rd day in wrestling, even though I have not made one pin yet, I still keep going. Collages will look for determination to reach the end of the season. They don't like quitters.

ROTC

I just want to clarify any questions anyone might have about the ROTC.

and here it is in FAQ format. :D

Q: what is ROTC?
A: It means Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) and is a scholarship available for high school students who are interested in the military, and for paying for a HUGE majority of collage fees.

Q: ok, so how do you qualify?
A: Its no cake walk, the requirements are,

1. Must have a High School Diploma
2. Must have a GPA of 2.50 at the least
3. Must pass a physical examiniation (pushups, situps, etc.)
4. Must score a minimum of 920 of the SAT (math/verbal) or 19 on the ACT
5. Between ages 17 and 26
6. Legal US Citizen
7. And you must accept a commission and serve in the Army on Active Duty or in a Reserve Component (Army Reserve, National Guard)

Q: Are their any commitments you must fulfill?
A: Yes, you must serve EIGHT YEARS in the army, to break it down, you must serve full time in the army for 4 years, then another 4 years in the Individual Ready Reserve (IRR) and selected cadets may choose to serve part time in the Army Reserve of National Guard while pursuing a civilian career.

Q: This seems to much, how do you ever hope to get in?
A: Luck, Hope, and a crap load of commitment. There are ROTC programs at almost every single collage that you can think of, and there is a ROTC program for every branch of the military.

Q: What is the curriculum like?
A: ROTC basically sets up elective courses that a cadet can take to learn leadership tactics, military strategy, as well as some field exercises.

Q: I don't like the army, I want to be a USMC officer.
A: you might want to see this then, Link.

Q: Is that it?
A: Absolutely not! if you want more info, I suggest you check out the ROTC page on the goarmy.com site. just click on the link on the links panel, and click ROTC.
